The Glenelg River is navigable by boat from just above the mouth to 75km upstream creating endless fishing opportunities and the potential to comfortably hold a large number of competing teams. All anglers fishing preferences are catered for in this river from sand flats at the mouth to the first boat ramp, countless steep limestone rock walls that drop into deep water, endless snaggy banks made up of tea tree snags, and intermittent shallow sections.
