Final Results

The Hopkins River despite the large amounts of fresh water coming down the system again produced some of the best fishing we have seen in years with many quality bags of Bream coming in, along with a number of large fish over the 1.3kg Mark . For Team JL Angling Lewis Holland and Jessica Lane they found the right pattern and the quality fish and with 2 very consistent days fishing they took out their maiden win with 10/10 bream weighing 9.475kg. In 2nd Place was Team Millerods Paul Malov and Alex Franchuk who charged from 14th place and weighed in 10/10 bream for 9.430kg and in 3rd place was Team Midfield Michael Malone and Janaka Kandage with 10/10 bream weighing 9.340kg.

The Graeme Taylor Memorial Trophy for the heaviest day 2 bag went to Team Millerods Paul Malov and Alex Franchuk who weighed in a massive day 2 bag of 5/5 bream weighing 5.960kg.

The Sunline Best Bag again went to Team Millerods Paul Malov and Alex Franchuk with their cracking Hopkins River bag of 5/5 bream for 5.960kg


The Ecogear Big Bream went to Team TT Fishing/Zman Luke Smith, Shelley Smith and Jack Smith who weighed in a thumping bream weighing 1.550kg


The Zip Baits Monster Movers Prize also went to Team TT Fishing/Zman Luke Smith, Shelley Smith and Jack Smith with their cracking 4 fish bag on day moving them 20 places up the leader board to finish in 14th position.


The Shimano Junior Angler Prize went to Beau May who finished in 11th place .
